Getting Started

Welcome to The Surefooted Co-op! Although we're just getting the ball rolling (as of now), I wanted to give a quick debrief on what we plan to accomplish in these upcoming months, as well as some important info for prospective members. While you can expect routine updates with plans and announcements similar to this one, feel free to reach out at any time if you have questions!

Upcoming Plans (summer thru early fall)

1. Get our Instagram up and running! We plan to use our page to post informational content, alongside general updates/announcements

2. Have our first event plans and instructional material ready by mid-August

3. Introduce ourselves to SAS through an announcement in chapel

4. Establish The Surefooted Co-op as a club at SAS

5. Host our first informational showcase/fundraiser! (September or early October)

We Need Your Help!

Are you...

• an athlete, or simply someone who is devoted to living an active lifestyle

• a high school student looking for more leadership opportunities

• someone who is interested in learning more about wellness, nutrition, or mental-health

• someone who is curious, creative, and eager to leave a lasting imprint on our developing organization

If you resonate with any of the above, please consider reaching out! We need volunteers willing to help out with important tasks such as:

• content research for educational presentations & materials

• networking coaches and athletic directors

• social media management/post writing

• event planning and fundraising coordination

• and more!

If you don't have a lot of spare time and are worried about making a commitment, please keep in mind that we're just getting started and don't have any hard deadlines or strict expectations. We want co-op work to be fun, flexible, and meaningful- not a source of added stress :)
